This is a fantastic opportunity to play one of the great links courses, only 5 weeks after the Irish Open.
Portumna Golf club recently hosted the AIG Irish Men’s Amateur close. Thomas Higgins Roscommon Golf Club was the overall winner surviving a 3 hole playoff against Greystones Dylan Holmes. It was PGC’s first significant event to host at this level.

All at Portumna Golf Club would like to wish the best of luck to Sam Murphy, teeing off in the Hotel Planner Irish Challenge 2026 which starts tomorrow in Killeen Castle.
Sam will be teeing off at 2:25pm Thursday and 9:10am Friday.
The 2026 Irish Challenge, played at Killeen Castle, will see 156 of the best up and coming male golf professionals battle it out for a €300,000 prize fund. Fans can expect to see a host of international players from the top of the Road to Mallorca Rankings as well as a strong cohort of Irish talent.
The Christy O’Connor Jnr Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the leading Irishman, who will also earn an invite to the 2026 Amgen Irish Open.
Congratulations to Mike Carty and his JB Carr team on winning the Connacht Final.

The Semi Finals and Finals are hosted by Woodenbridge Golf Club and will take place on the 5th and 6th of September.
